Just to get this out of the way because it will most likely be asked, could you post a current bike check?

how do you feel about kids who cant manual a block or jump a nice big set of trail, but can tailwhip on flat ground?

Completely agree with this. You're one of, if not the biggest, influence on my riding.

I remember an ad Schwinn did a long time ago where it had a photo of each member of the pro team and a little list of current accomplishments. Next to your picture it said something like "street god." Looking back on your carrier,how do you feel about statements like that. I think to most all of us would agree that it's an accurate and earned statement.

Holy shit, I was just thinking about how cool it would be with a Van Homan Q&A.. You've been my favorite rider since I got into bmx, and like already stated one of the biggest influences on todays streetriding..
I got 3 questions:
1. How did it feel to ride in the xgames?
2. Why did you start to ride street, and where did you get inspiration for your riding?
3. Probably been asked this before, but whats up with your tailwhips? Did you just learn them counterclockwise or what?

BTW. That barspin-gap to icepick grind in the Fitlife video may be the sickest thing I have ever seen, props..

You are a BMX God.

My question would having a light (under 25lbs) bike scare you? Seeing as you do so many insane gaps, I would assume you gave up caring about your bikes weight, and focused mainly on strength. Am I correct?

Not to be disrespectful to any other "pro", but you must be the nicest guy I have ever met. Always down to just shoot the shit with whoever. You represent the sport well and i wish 99.9% of the people who are on the come up would try to be more like you personally, not just riding.

van, you've been my favorite rider since the first time i opened an old issue of ride, and the contents page had you doing a bunnyhop barspin over this black flat rail, and that was in like 99 or so.

i heard you are a daddy now, how has that affected your riding? i wonder that since im expecting also.

The Rims on my bike are Proper Rims. I was building up a new bike with all the Gold Fit parts. I already had those wheels in my shop. It all went together so good that I had to rock them.
